About G. Robert Taseff
Bob is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over sixteen years of professional counseling experience. He is a member of the Illinois Counseling Association and the Illinois Mental Health Counselor’s Association.
Bob received his M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois graduating summa cum laude. He also completed an intensive one-year program in Advanced Psychotherapy earning a Certificate in Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition, Bob earned his B.A. in Economics from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
Formerly, Bob was a core faculty member at The Institute for Advanced Psychotherapy at Loyola University Chicago. He also was a faculty member at The Wayne Institute of Advanced Psychotherapy at Bellarmine University.
An important area of Bob’s counseling work seeks to identify and work with an individual’s shame: that internal sense and belief of not being good enough. Often shame and shame patterns are significantly linked to anxiety, depression, addiction, and chronic relational struggles. Hence working on these destructive, and often compulsively driven, aspects of self may require further counseling attention.
Prior to his work in counseling, Bob spent over twenty years in the investment industry, including fourteen years leading and managing his own equity trading firm.
Bob works exclusively with adults, both individuals and couples. Currently, he is only offering telehealth services.
